West Houston Squadron is now able to offer rides in an authentic WWII aircraft, the AT-6 Advanced Fighter Trainer! This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any aviation enthusiast or history buff!
Each ride costs $295*, and includes a pre-flight briefing covering the history of the aircraft. The flight lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. NOTE: We have temporarily suspended scheduling rides, as the aircraft is currently undergoing extensive preventive maintenance (including an engine overhaul and repainting). We expect to begin scheduling rides again in May, 2010. Passengers must be 18 years of age or older, and must weigh less than 250 lbs. They must have no physical condition or limitations which would make it impossible for them to get out of the aircraft unassisted, and must be able to communicate with the pilot via the intercom.. The aircraft is based at West Houston Airport in Houston, Texas, and rides can be scheduled from that site. When the aircraft is appearing at events or airshows at other sites, rides may also be scheduled at those locations (subject to event restrictions). Contact ops@WestHoustonSqdn.org for more information and to schedule your ride. * due to the instability in fuel prices, ride costs
may be adjusted to compensate. |
