April 2002 - Staining the cabinet interiors and prepping the exteriors for paint (little did we know that Mr. Sandpaper and Mr. Paintbrush were going to be our constant companions for the next several weeks...).  It was about now when we discovered that our extensive cabinetry covered every electrical outlet in the room (d'oh!). mus_020404_05.jpg (41575 bytes)

July 2002 - the painting is done (yay!) and the walls are covered.  The first exhibit is in place - artifacts of significance during museum construction (hmm, I wonder why there are beer cans in there?) mus_020714_01.jpg (53688 bytes)
September 1 - getting close ... starting to fill the displays although construction equipment still litters the room. mus_020901_01.jpg (71046 bytes)
September 25 - the last work night before the Open House.  If it's not done yet, it's not going to get done. mus_020925_65.jpg (57192 bytes)
The official Charter Donor plaque, listing the initial financial contributors who made the museum possible mus_020925_63.jpg (33103 bytes)
The unofficial Constructors plaque (paper sign, actually), listing the hard working individuals who spent Wednesdays and weekends cutting, sanding, painting, sanding, painting some more, sanding some more, stapling, sorting, re-sorting, arranging, rearranging, moving displays, cataloging, brainstorming, deciding "maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all", and drinking the occasional grain-based refreshing beverage. mus_020925_64.jpg (33663 bytes)
