Although Friday was cold and windy (and had everyone fearful of another "Arctic Airsho" like the one in 2000), Saturday and Sunday were clear, warm and perfect for an airshow.  A surprise appearance by the Thunderbirds made a fantastic show even better.

The USAF Thunderbirds were a last minute addition, due to the cancellation of their overseas tour.  They put on a  first-class show, as usual.

The 2001 show marked the Airsho debut of the CAF's P-51C, restored by the Southern Minnesota Wing and painted in the "red-tail" markings of the Tuskegee Airmen
