Fina-CAF Airsho®
2001
CAF HQ, Midland, TX, October 6-7, 2001
Although Friday was cold and windy (and had everyone fearful of another
"Arctic Airsho" like the one in 2000), Saturday and Sunday were clear,
warm and perfect for an airshow. A surprise appearance by the Thunderbirds
made a fantastic show even better.

The USAF Thunderbirds were a last minute addition, due to the
cancellation of their overseas tour. They put on a first-class
show, as usual.

by the Southern Minnesota Wing and painted in the "red-tail" markings of
the Tuskegee Airmen
Manfred Radius put on a fantastic acrobatic show in his sailplane ("glider"
to us Americans)
The Tora! Tora! Tora! show shook the earth again
