The weather did NOT cooperate this year.  A Canadian front blew in on the Friday before the show, dropping temperatures to near freezing and bringing light rain and high winds.  Winds are always present in west Texas, but this was a cold wind.  The WHS AT-6 had gone to Odessa earlier in the week to be used in the Formation Training school, but the other WHS planes (BT-13, N3N and S-108) were stuck in Houston due to the weather associated with the front and the remnants of a tropical storm coming up from Mexico.  And then the AT-6 developed a fuel seal problem, and could not fly in the show!

Attendance at the show was light due to the cold. But the full show went on.  A tip of the cap to everyone who went, especially those hardy souls who flew the open-cockpit birds!
